CELLTRAC has been in use for many years in NHS,Teaching hospitals, Universities & Pathology laboratories for the analysis of blood samples. It is mainly used for stand alone analysis in the modern equipped laboratory.

Celltrac has 12 cell counting keys, the ability to subtract following an error, and the ability to add or subtract cell clusters.  It can display current cell total and running totals at any point during the count, and bleeps a warning when approaching 100 cells, or multiples, allowing standardisation of the total count if required.  Furthermore, Celltrac has a low battery indicator, although it is unlikely that any user would need to change the battery within the first 12 months of use.

Cell labels have been assigned to ensure the minimum amount of finger travel for standard leucocyte differentials.  Two of the cell keys have been assigned as “non-summing” in order to record nucleated red cells or similar, but the number of “non-summing” keys can be increased or decreased for maximum choice.  The count can be stopped at any time to allow inspection of all figures including percentages and then be continued or terminated as required.  The total leucocyte count can also be entered so that each cell type is reported in absolute numbers as well as percentages.

CELLTRAC
- M

In addition to all of the benefits offered by Celltrac, Celltrac-M will store the counts of up to 32 patients to enable transfer of data to a printer or computer (Data interface cable included) for perfect presentation of results.  Celltrac-M automatically assigns a patient code number to each count, and its wide selection of baud rates, parities and inter-character gaps ensures compatibility with a wide variety of equipment in the modern laboratory.

Celltrac comes with 10 keys ready annotated for cell types as follows: -

SEG                     Segmented Neutrophils                                            LYM                     Lymphocytes                                                            MONO                  Monocytes
STAB                   Stab. Neutrophils
BAS                     Basophils
EOs                     Eosinophils
BLST                    Myeloblasts
PRO                     Promyelocytes
MYE                     Myeloctes
META                   Metamyelocytes

Blank self-adhesive labels are provided for customising these keys.  Celltrac and Celltrac-M can also provide a Percentage breakdown of each cell type according to the total number of Cells counted.

Celltrac:  is classified within the EU as an In-Vitro Diagnostic Medical Device and is "CE" marked in accordance with the 98/79 EU Directive for IVD's
